On 14–15 October 2026, a regional workshop on forestry strategic planning in the Asia-Pacific region was held in Beijing, People’s Republic of China. The event was attended by Yusofzoda Abduljabbbor Ghayratshoh, Director of the Agency of Forestry under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
As part of the event, an official meeting was held with Wang Chunfeng, Executive Director of the Asia-Pacific Network for Sustainable Forest Management and Rehabilitation (APFNet). During the meeting, the parties discussed the project entitled “Restoration of Broadleaf Forest Ecosystems with the Involvement of Local Communities and Implementation of Joint Forest Management in the State Forestry Institution Qaratogh.”
The workshop addressed progress, challenges and future prospects in national forestry planning, as well as regional cooperation and the exchange of experience in sustainable forest management.
