Executive Body of State Authority of the City of Tursunzade

The Executive Body of State Authority of Tursunzoda City operates in accordance with the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Local State Authorities.” According to Article 3 of the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Local State Authorities,” local state authorities consist of local representative bodies of state authority and local executive bodies of state authority. The local representative body of state authority is the Majlis of People’s Deputies of Tursunzoda City. In accordance with the limits established by law, the number of deputies is set at 40. In the seventh convocation of the Majlis, elected for the 2025–2030 term, 39 deputies were elected by the city executive committee of the People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan, and one deputy was elected by the local structure of the Agrarian Party of Tajikistan. As of October 1, 2026, 27 of the 174 established positions, or 15.5%, are vacant. A total of 147 civil servants are actively employed, including 28 women.
