CELEBRATION OF RUSHAN DISTRICT CULTURE DAY IN DUSHANBE
On 16 August 2026, Rushan District Culture Day was celebrated with great splendour and ceremony at Iram Culture and Recreation Park in Dushanbe. Residents and guests of the capital were presented with agricultural and industrial products, traditional handicrafts, national cuisine, and a vibrant cultural and literary programme.
The event was attended by Sherali Mirzo, Representative of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan in Rushan District and Head of the Main Directorate for the Protection of State Secrets under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan; Mehriddin Mahmadsharif Tohirzoda, Deputy Chairman of Dushanbe; Ruslan Rajab Qodirzoda, Chairman of Ismoili Somoni District; Ilhom Shamol Ahmadzoda, Chairman of Rushan District; as well as other distinguished guests and officials.
During their visit, the guests explored an exhibition of agricultural and industrial products, handicrafts made by local artisans, national dishes, and the socio-economic achievements of Rushan District. They highly appreciated the standard and quality of the products on display.
Meanwhile, cultural workers and artists from Rushan District presented a vibrant cultural and concert programme featuring patriotic songs, traditional music, and national dances. Their performances delighted the audience and showcased the rich culture and cherished traditions of the Tajik people.
It should be noted that the organization of cultural days featuring cities and districts from across the country in Dushanbe promotes friendship and mutual understanding, strengthens cultural ties, highlights the achievements of the period of state independence, and helps revive national traditions. This event is also of particular importance as part of preparations for the celebration of the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.
