Regulations on the Main Archival Directorate under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
1. GENERAL PROVISIONS
1. The Main Archival Directorate under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan (hereinafter referred to as the “Main Archival Directorate”) is a central executive body of state authority of the Republic of Tajikistan which, within the scope of its powers, ensures the implementation of state policy in the field of supervision, as well as the provision of regulatory and methodological support for the procedures governing records management and archival administration in state bodies, enterprises, institutions and other organizations, regardless of their form of ownership or administrative subordination.
2. The Main Archival Directorate provides leadership, coordination and oversight of the activities of organizations within the Main Archival Directorate system.
3. The Main Archival Directorate carries out its activities in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan, constitutional laws and laws of the Republic of Tajikistan, resolutions of the Majlisi Milli and the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, decrees and orders of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, resolutions and directives of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, international legal instruments recognized by Tajikistan, as well as this Regulation.
4. The Main Archival Directorate carries out its activities in cooperation with other central executive bodies of state authority, local executive bodies of state authority, self-government bodies of towns and villages, public organizations, and natural and legal persons, irrespective of their organizational and legal form.
