Today, the Chairman of the Majlisi Milli of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Mayor of Dushanbe, His Excellency Rustami Emomali, held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Tajikistan, Mr. Guo Jizjun.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and future prospects of cooperation between the Executive Body of State Authority of Dushanbe and China.
At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency Rustami Emomali congratulated Mr. Guo Jizjun on the commencement of his diplomatic mission in Tajikistan and expressed confidence that, through his efforts and fruitful work, he would make a valuable contribution to giving fresh momentum to the strategic partnership between the two neighbouring countries across various areas of cooperation.
The parties attached primary importance to the development of trade and economic as well as socio-cultural cooperation, emphasizing that China and Tajikistan possess extensive opportunities and resources for multifaceted cooperation.
Both sides also expressed their interest in further developing and expanding cooperation between the Executive Body of State Authority of Dushanbe and China in the fields of economy, trade, humanitarian affairs, healthcare, education, culture, tourism and agriculture.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on other matters of mutual interest.
