Dushanbe, 16 May 2025. Today, the city-level stage of the “Best Restaurant in Dushanbe” competition for 2024 was concluded.
The competition was established pursuant to Resolution No. 8 of the Mayor of Dushanbe, dated 17 January 2022, “On the Organization and Holding of the ‘Best Restaurant in Dushanbe’ Competition.” Its main objectives are to promote entrepreneurship, support and encourage business owners, improve service quality, and showcase the culture of hospitality.
In accordance with the competition regulations, the evaluation criteria included restaurant design and cleanliness; the proper presentation of menus and price lists in Tajik, Russian and English; the availability of signature dishes; the quality of food prepared by chefs; the provision of branded uniforms for waiters, chefs and managers; staff conduct and customer service; proper table setting; the use of high standards of decorative presentation and chefs' creative ideas, as well as other indicators. Particular attention was also paid to creating a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere in the restaurants.
The competition results were determined on the basis of the findings of the city-level evaluation committee.
Following the assessment by the members of the city-level commission of the “Best Restaurant in Dushanbe” competition for 2024, the winners in the respective categories were announced as follows:
Best Restaurant in Dushanbe — “Latina” Restaurant;
Best Chef — Mukkadas Yunusova, “Bahor-Forel” Restaurant;
Best Waiter — Shukhrat Boybutaev, “Bukhoro” Restaurant;
Best Manager — Jalolov Tojiddin Mukhriddinovich, “Yakkasaroy — Family” Restaurant;
Best Signature Restaurant Dish — “Trout”, presented by “Kohi Parfenon” Restaurant.
In addition, restaurants and individuals who contributed to the organization and holding of the “Best Restaurant in Dushanbe” competition for 2024 were recognized with certificates of appreciation and commemorative gifts from the Executive Body of State Authority of Dushanbe.
